Black Cat bicycles are steel. The tubes are joined using an oxy-actelene torch and brass or silver filler. Joints are then finished to the highest degree to create either a seamless transition, or a crisp and abrupt line, as desired. It’s not the quickest or the easiest method of construction, but it allows for the most freedom in the finished product.

The frames feature custom made components to create a unique silhouette, immediately recognizable as a Black Cat. Using in-house built tube benders, characteristic and innovative dropouts, individually mitered gussets, and house turned bottom bracket shells, these are not off-the-shelf bikes.
